Abstract
The origin of spinal locomotor strip fibers was studied in the cat by means of electrical stimulation combined with horse-radish peroxidase transport technique. It was revealed that a corticospinal tract presumably formed the locomotor strip. Some reticulospinal and trigeminal tract fibers were also found. Descending catecholaminergic fibers do not pass through the investigated regions of dorsolateral funiculus; probably they are not a part of the spinal locomotor strip.References
